HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Reality starlet Alexis Neiers has been released from jail early.
The 18-year-old Pretty Wild star was set free Friday night from the L.A. County Jail Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif. after serving 30 days of a 180-day sentence, E! Online reports.
"I've had time to reflect on my life and the choices that led me to this experience, left alone in my cell 23 hours a day and having everything stripped away but the bare essentials," she said in a statement after her release. "I did a lot of soul searching. I feel very humbled and see my life in a way that I have come to be very grateful for and I am also grateful to everyone who has helped and supported me through this."
"I am committed to talking to teens and encouraging them to become goal oriented and participate in positive activities that give back to their world," she added.
In May, Neiers pleaded no contest to felony burglary for her role in the so-called Burglar Bunch crimes, a ring that targeted celebrity homes. She was sentenced to jail and also placed on three years felony probation after reaching a plea deal with prosecutors. She must also pay restitution, which could reach $600,000.
Neiers was part of a gang of six dubbed the Bling Ring that were accused of stealing millions in luxury items from the homes of such celebrities as Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Rachel Bilson.
In an ironic twist, Neiers was at one point in a cell directly adjacent to one occupied by Lindsay Lohan, who is currently locked up at the facility for a probation violation.
