HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Nikki Reed is finally getting used to the hoopla that goes along with starring in the hit Twilight franchise.
"Last year, I was like, hyperventilating," the 21-year-old star told People at Monday night's New Moon premiere in Los Angeles. "I don't want to say I've gotten used to it, but my palms aren't sweating as much."
Some of the calming influence may be from the new man in her life. The actress, who portrays vampire Rosalie Hale in the film series, has been dating Paris Latsis since the summer.
"When you date someone who loves the outdoors, it's inspiring," she said of the 27-year-old Greek shipping heir, who previously dated Paris Hilton. "I've learned from my boyfriend. I've taken on his lifestyle."
That new lifestyle meant saying goodbye to smoking and focusing on living a healthier life.
"Instead of gaining weight, I lost weight," she said. "I started going to the gym and taking care of myself. I'm into outdoor sports like hiking, windsurfing, water-skiing. I'm much more active and much happier."
