NEW YORK — The Museum of the Moving Image saluted the esteemed career of Clint Eastwood on Tuesday night in New York City.
The Museum's 25th annual event recognized the 79-year-old star's career spanning five decades, in which his work as an actor, director and producer has included such notable films as Dirty Harry, Unforgiven and Million Dollar Baby.
Past honorees have included Tom Cruise, Robert DeNiro, Tom Hanks, Dustin Hoffman, Ron Howard, Steve Martin, Al Pacino, Sidney Poitier, Julia Roberts, Martin Scorsese, and Steven Spielberg.
Morgan Freeman, Hilary Swank, Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick were among the stars on hand for the formal affair.
Eastwood's next film, Invictus, starring Freeman and Matt Damon, opens in December.
