HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Mindy McCready is denying published reports that she leaked the now infamous nude tape featuring Eric Dane and his wife, actress Rebecca Gayheart, lying around naked with former beauty queen Kari Ann Peniche.
"I did not want to be dragged into all this," the troubled 33-year-old country star told Access Hollywood. "I did not want to be a part of this."
It has been claimed that McCready stole Peniche's computer hard drive, which contained the steamy footage, when the pair co-starred together on the third season of VH1's "Celebrity Rehab." McCready, however, blamed the leak on Peniche.
"She is evil personified, she is evil in human form," said McCready. "She will hurt anyone she can to make money."
In an interview with E! News on Monday, Peniche denied that she leaked her own tape, revealing that she only found out it had surfaced after receiving a call from the "Grey's Anatomy" actor.
"I got a call from Eric, obviously upset, asking me what he said something about Mindy, and that's when I was like, I should go home and check," explained the 25-year-old Playboy model. "If I was going to leak it, I would have done that a long time ago."
