LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Mike Tyson and his girlfriend, Lakiha Spicer, tied the knot in Las Vegas over the weekend — a wedding that took place less than two weeks after the tragic death of the boxer's 4-year-old daughter.
According to The Associated Press, the couple tied the knot Saturday night around 10 p.m. at the La Bella Wedding Chapel located inside the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel and Casino.
Tyson, 42, and Spicer, 32, obtained their marriage license about 30 minutes before the ceremony, according to Las Vegas County marriage records.
It is the third trip to the altar for Tyson, who was previously married to actress Robin Givens and Monica Turner.
"They just wanted to say the vows and be married," chapel owner Shawn Absher told AP. "It was very sincere."
"They were very heartwarming, and I think they really do love each other," added Absher. "He seemed happy—and his life's been up and down."
Tyson's daughter, Exodus, died May 26 after she accidentally wrapped her neck in a cord on a treadmill machine at her Phoenix home.
