HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Music star M.I.A. is poking fun at the swirling rumors about her newborn son's name.
In a message posted on her MySpace blog, the "Paper Planes" artist jokes about the baby names being tossed around in the tabloids.
"MY BABY IS NOT CALLED ICKITT, PICKIT OR LICKIT THANK YOU VERY MUCH, " she writes. "HES A BABY, HE DONT NEED PRESS!"
The 33-year-old singer and her fiancé, musician Benjamin Bronfman, welcomed their baby boy on Feb. 11. M.I.A says she didn't release her son's name because she didn't think it was newsworthy.
"I WILL BE BACK WITH SOMETHING NEWS WORTHY SOON , TILL THEN GO PICK ON APPLE, SATCHEL AND MOON UNIT," she suggests, before signing off, LOTS OF LOVE STICKIT!"
M.I.A. was joined by Jay-Z, T.I., Lil Wayne and Kanye West in performing "Swagga Like Us" at February's Grammy Awards, which happened to fall on her due date.
