HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Marilyn Manson has been diagnosed with the H1N1 virus, otherwise known as the dreaded swine flu, but the rocker is keeping his sense of humor.
"So I have officially been diagnosed, by a real doctor, with THE SWINE FLU," the 40-year-old Manson disclosed on his Facebook page. "I know everyone will suggest that f---ing a pig is how this disease was obtained. However, the doctor said my past choices in women have in no way contributed to me acquiring this mysterious sickness."
He then jokingly added, "Unfortunately, I am going to survive."
Manson did not elaborate on how he contacted the disease or what impact it may have on his ongoing concert tour. He is scheduled to perform Friday night at the Metro Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The shock rocker is currently touring in support of his seventh studio album, "The High End of Low."
