HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Her wedding to Nick Cannon may have been impromptu, but Mariah Carey's friends can still send the newlyweds a gift.
An insider tells the New York Post that Carey's assistant recently sent out more than 100 e-mails to her wealthy pals, alerting them that the pop diva is registered at Bergdorf Goodman in case anyone wants to get the superstars a gift.
Among the couple's wishes are "fine china" and "very expensive silver stemware."
"It's odd because she's not even having a big wedding party or anything," the insider says. "It was assumed they'd have a big celebration when they got back, but no. They just want the gifts."
After dating for less than two months, Carey, 39, and Cannon, 27, got hitched in April at the "Bye Bye" singer's Bahamian estate.
"We really do feel we are soulmates," Carey told People magazine following the sunset ceremony. "I never felt a love like this was in the cards for me."
