HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Maksim Chmerkovskiy may have some free time after being eliminated on Tuesday's "Dancing With the Stars," but he won't be using it to reconnect with his ex-fiancée Karina Smirnoff.
"I feel completely betrayed. I'm done," the 29-year-old pro dancer tells People of his relationship with Smirnoff.
Chmerkovskiy and Smirnoff called off their engagement in September after just over a year of dating. Shortly after the news broke, the Ukranian star posted a message on his Twitter page that hinted at his disappointment in Smirnoff.
"What was meant to be a 'life long book', turned into a 'chapter'.......and now that 'chapter' is finished...... Se la vie..." he wrote.
Whatever anger Chmerkovskiy may have been feeling then certainly wasn't helped by the rumors linking Smirnoff to her new "DWTS" partner, Aaron Carter. However, he refused to elaborate on why he feels betrayed.
"I don't want to get into the specifics. Let's just leave it at I'm done," he told the mag.
Chmerkovskiy doesn't seem to be lying at home crying, however. Last night, he crossed paths with Smirnoff at the Hollywood hotspot Teddy's, where he arrived in the arms of "two smoking hot women," a source told the mag.
"She just shot out of her seat and left," the onlooker said of Smirnoff's reaction. "I would have done the same thing if I were her. I would have run out of the place crying."
