HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Montana Fishburne is opening up about her decision to launch a porn career, a gig that wasn't well received by her father, actor Laurence Fishburne.
"I hear through relatives that he's upset but I haven't talked to him directly for him to tell me his feelings," the 19-year-old tells People. "I hope it's not hurting him. It wasn't done to hurt him. But I think it will take time and talking through the issues. Eventually, I hope he will be proud of me."
Montana will be making her porn debut for Vivid Entertainment. Her first film, Montana Fishburne, is described as an hourlong adventure that "follows the uninhibited Montana as she engages in wild, erotic adventures in a car, a hotel room and even in public while visiting a mall." She said the film was shot without her parents' approval.
"I had already filmed it by the time they knew so I didn't give them a chance to talk me out of it," she said of the sex tape, which will be released on Aug. 18.
The CSI star's daughter also shot down reports that she's using porn as a steppingstone to a mainstream acting career.
Said Montana: "I am not in porn to get into acting. I am in porn because I wanted to be in porn."
