HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — La Toya Jackson could be setting her sights on the next mirror ball trophy.
Sources close to the 53-year-old star tell Us Weekly that Jackson has been approached to appear on the next season of ABC's "Dancing With the Stars."
"[La Toya is] in serious discussions to join the show," the insider told the mag.
Jackson has found herself back in the spotlight after the death of her younger brother, Michael Jackson, in June. She is said to be weighing her options after receiving a firm offer from the network to appear on the show's upcoming ninth season.
"She's a big fan of the show, and being from a musical family, it would be a good fit," her rep told Us.
The "Just Wanna Dance" singer has some past experience in the reality TV world, having appeared on the U.K.'s "Celebrity Big Brother" in January.
Jackson has been very outspoken about her brother's death on June 25, having previously told London's News of the World that she believed the music icon was "murdered."
"I felt that from the start," she told the newspaper last month. "Not just one person was involved, rather it was a conspiracy of people. He was surrounded by a bad circle. Michael was a very meek, quiet, loving person. People took advantage of that. People fought to be close to him, people who weren't always on his side."
