HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Kim Kardashian is getting the message loud and clear from Justin Bieber's fans: Back off!
The reality star and teen heartthrob caused a commotion after they mingled last Saturday at the White House Correspondents' dinner in Washington, D.C. The meeting led to Kardashian admitting on Twitter that she had "Bieber fever."
Bieber, meanwhile, posted a photo of the pair that suggested Kardashian was his "girlfriend," a title that didn't sit well with the Canadian crooner's passionate followers.
"Seriously Biebs! I'm getting death threats from your fans! This is unBeliebable!!!" the 29-year-old Kardashian said Wednesday on Twitter.
Bieber responded with his own Twitter message, assuring his fans that Kardashian was nothing more than a "very sexy friend."
"Ladies calm down," he said. "No need 4 threats. Let's all be friends and hang out often ;)"
Bieber's loyal followers have caused plenty of trouble lately. Last week, police canceled his scheduled performance in Sydney, Australia after a crowd of about 5,000 fans got rowdy, sending at least eight girls to the hospital and injuring several more. A day later, he urged his fans to settle down after his mother was knocked to the ground when he arrived in New Zealand.
