HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Long before she became a Hollywood star, Kendra Wilkinson endured what she now refers to as her "devil years."
In an emotional E! True Hollywood Story that airs Wednesday, the 24-year-old reality star admits that she battled drugs and depression during her teen years in San Diego.
"I ended up becoming suicidal, and I started cutting myself," Wilkinson reveals. "I had so much pain that I just wanted to die. It wasn't that I was trying to die, it was just that my pain took away from my pain inside."
The dark days were eye opening for the star's family.
"None of us had ever had a situation like that in the family," Wilkinson's grandmother, Mary, admits on the episode. "Her mother and I did a lot of crying."
Looking back, Wilkinson admits that she was "very selfish."
"I knew what I was putting my family through and I did feel bad," says the former Playboy model, who welcomed her first child with husband Hank Baskett in December. "I was doing it for attention, I needed that attention."
