HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Kendra Wilkinson's wild past could be coming back to haunt her.
According to RadarOnline, the 24-year-old reality star has been trying to halt the release of a sex tape she made with an unidentified male partner that she trusted. Her attorney, Yael E. Holtkamp, has reportedly sent a cease and desist notice to Vivid Entertainment, which plans to release the footage.
"The video is private and highly confidential taken for private use and not for public disclosure," the letter reads. "Any exploitation of the video would be a gross violation of Miss Wilkinson's constitutional and common law rights of privacy."
The explicit sex tape was made before Wilkinson married her husband, Philadelphia Eagles receiver Hank Baskett. The name of her sex partner in the video, which was shot prior to her moving into the Playboy mansion, has not been revealed.
According to E! News, Wilkinson was 18 when she made the sex tape.
Vivid said it had attempted to reach Wilkinson and plans to release the video later this month.
"The tape was brought to us by a third party and after consulting with our attorneys, we are confident in our right to distribute it," said Steven Hirsch, founder/co-chairman of Vivid. "We've been trying to reach Kendra but have so far been unsuccessful. We therefore made the decision to release 'Kendra Exposed' to stores across the country by the end of May."
Earlier this year, Wilkinson said she battled drugs and depression during her teen years in San Diego.
"I ended up becoming suicidal, and I started cutting myself," she admitted on her E! True Hollywood Story. "I had so much pain that I just wanted to die. It wasn't that I was trying to die, it was just that my pain took away from my pain inside."
Wilkinson and Baskett will celebrate their one-year wedding anniversary next month. They welcomed their first child, a son, in December.
