NEW YORK — Forgive Kelly Osbourne if she's strutting with a little more confidence these days after dropping 40 pounds off her 5-foot-3 frame.
"I am much more confident with myself and I really do love my body now," the 25-year-old Osbourne, who now tips the scales at 118 pounds, tells People of her weight loss. "I was never happy with my body before."
"I weighed myself the other day and I was like, 'I can't believe this!' " she adds. "Even I was shocked."
The former Dancing With the Stars contestant is maintaining her current weight with a devoted workout routine, including Pilates up to two or three times a week. She is also on a low Glycemic Index diet that cuts out sugar and carbohydrates.
"I'm on a bit of a turkey burger kick right now because I'm trying so hard to cut out as much carbs as possible," she says of her new eating habits. "I used to live on bread and mashed potatoes."
Osbourne says she won't be shedding any more pounds in order to avoid looking like a "lollipop head." She also admits that she occasionally has to fall off the wagon.
Said Osbourne, "I had a pizza last night because I was so hungry. I was like, 'I don't care! I'm starving!' "
