Katie Holmes to Play Jackie O in History Channel's 'The Kennedys'

Katie Holmes, History Channel, Jacqueline Kennedy, pictures, picture, photos, photo, pics, pic, images, image, hot, sexy, latest, new, 2010HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Katie Holmes will star as iconic former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy in The Kennedys, an eight-hour mini series premiering in 2011 on the History Channel, the network announced Wednesday.

The series will also star Greg Kinnear as President John F. Kennedy, Barry Pepper as Attorney General Robert Kennedy and Tom Wilkinson as Ambassador Joe Kennedy, Sr.

The series, which will be produced by 24 creator Joel Surnow, will focus on the early years of JFK's presidency before he was assassinated in 1963.

Shooting is set to begin in June and will continue until September.
