WELLINGTON, New Zealand — Justin Bieber is pleading for his fans to simmer down after his mother was knocked to the ground when he arrived in New Zealand.
"Finally got to New Zealand last night. The airport was crazy. Not happy that someone stole my hat and knocked down my mama. Come on people," the 16-year-old pop star wrote Tuesday on Twitter. "I want to be able to sign and take pics and meet my fans, but if you are all pushing security wont let me. let's keep it safe and have fun."
His mother, Pattie Mallette, tweeted that she was "OK" after the incident at Auckland Airport.
This is the second fan frenzy for Bieber this week. On Monday, police canceled his scheduled performance in Sydney, Australia after a crowd of about 5,000 fans got rowdy, sending at least eight girls to the hospital and injuring several more.
