HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — John Mayer is singing the blues.
The 32-year-old crooner has been forced to cancel the remaining dates on his ongoing European tour due to illness. The cancellations came about after Mayer was unable to perform last night in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The "Heartbreak Warfare" singer plans to recover at home in the U.S., according to a statement posted Tuesday on his official Web site. No other details about his illness were revealed.
The cancelled gigs include a pair of sold-out shows that were scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday at Amsterdan's Heineken Music Hall. It also includes weekend stops planned for Madrid and Manchester. Ticket holders should apply for refund from point of purchase.
Mayer is scheduled to continue his tour in the United States starting July 16 in Charlotte, N.C.
