HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Joe Jonas insists it won't be awkward when he heads out on the road next month with his ex-girlfriend, Demi Lovato.
"Demi [Lovato] has been a friend of mine for a long time," the 20-year-old singer told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show Friday. "I think that our friendship is so strong that it surpasses a lot of things, and I think touring will be a lot of fun."
Lovato will be opening for the Jonas Brothers when they kick off their latest tour on Aug. 7. The concert trek was already in place when the couple split back in May, but Jonas says the twosome is still on friendly turns anyway. In fact, they bumped into each other the other night at VH1's Do Something Awards in Los Angeles.
"[It's] definitely been cool," he said of their relationship, adding "[we're] trying to get together and hang out before we go on tour together."
So is Jonas ready to jump back into the dating scene yet?
"I'm just a single dude about to go on tour," he said. "I'm excited about it. I'm finally going back on the road."
