HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Giving birth for the first time can strike fear in a lot of women, but it turns out Jessica Alba has a bigger concern.
In her first interview since announcing her pregnancy, Jessica tells Extra she is more worried about providing her newborn with a nutritious meal.
"[I had a dream that] had to do with breastfeeding which is the only thing I'm paranoid about," she says. "More than giving birth."
The 26-year-old star, who is now into her second trimester, says the whole experience has felt like a roller-coaster at times.
"Definitely a lot more emotions," she shares. "Anything could make me incredibly angry or break down crying. That's not something I'm used to."
Jessica, whose movie "The Eye" opens next week, says she's dealing with the reality of adding a few pregnancy pounds.
"I try to eat as healthy as possible [and] exercise," she says. "As long as I don't gain too much, too fast, that's the key."
Jessica and her fiancé, Cash Warren, are expecting their first child in late spring. While the couple's announcement in December caught many by surprise, Jessica says she couldn't be any happier.
"It's quite a blessing and perfect timing," the actress says.
