LOS ANGELES — A man accused of stalking Jennifer Garner pled not guilty Thursday in a Los Angeles court, the Associated Press reports.
Steven Burky, 37, was charged with felony stalking and violating a restraining order. He was ordered held on $300,000 bail and warned to stay 500 feet away from Garner and her family should he be released.
Burky was arrested Monday outside the nursery school where Violet Affleck, one of Garner's two daughters with husband Ben Affleck, is enrolled.
He was charged with two counts of felony stalking and two misdemeanor counts of violating a court order.
Garner was granted a restraining order against Burky in November 2008. She said the Pennsylvania resident had been stalking her since 2002.
The 37-year-old actress recently told W magazine that she loves bonding with the other mothers at Violet's school.
"You feel so close to them so quickly because you're going through the same thing," she said.
Garner next stars in the romantic comedy Valentine's Day.
