HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer have called it quits for the second time.
According to People, Mayer pulled the plug on the couple's relationship when Aniston, 40, returned from a recent European tour promoting her film "Marley & Me."
"They had some disagreements and decided to not continue to see each other," a source told the mag. "Jen is moving on with her life like she always does. She seems happy."
Mayer also called time on the pair's relationship last August, holding an impromptu chat session with reporters soon thereafter.
"People are different, they have different chemistry, they have different lives," the 31-year-old singer explained. "It's not about years, it's about going out with somebody, being truthful on the way in, being truthful in the middle and being truthful on the way out."
"I ended a relationship to be alone because I don't want to waste somebody's time if something's not right," he added. "I don't waste people's time."
Aniston and Mayer started dating in 2008 after meeting at an Oscar party. The couple became nearly inseparable after going public with their relationship last April, with Aniston becoming a fixture on her beau's concert tour.
The breakup continues a string of fallen romances for the former "Friends" star, following her 2005 divorce from Brad Pitt. Among her post-divorce relationships was a romance with actor Vince Vaughn, who recently became engaged.
