HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — "Bachelor" Jason Mesnick may have caused an uproar when he broke off his engagement to Melissa Rycroft, but things are still going strong in his relationship with runner-up Molly Malaney.
"Things are going great," said Mesnick during the happy couple's appearance Thursday on ABC's "Good Morning America."
When asked if the pair had any plans to tie the knot, Mesnick answered that they will "absolutely someday" get married.
The couple is "doing the distance thing right now" as they keep their five-month old relationship strong while living in different parts of the country. However, Malaney said she plans to move from Milwaukee to her boyfriend's home in Seattle in the not too distant future.
"We're very happy," she said.
Malaney also talked about the bond she has developed with Mesnick's 4-year-old son, Ty.
"It's been great," she said. "We talk on the phone, we play together when I'm in town."
Malaney isn't the only person who has bonded with someone who answers to the name Ty since "The Bachelor: After the Final Rose" aired in the spring. Earlier this week, Rycroft revealed that she is now engaged to her boyfriend, Texas insurance agent Tye Strickland.
