LOS ANGELES — Janet Jackson hit the stage at Sunday night's American Music Awards in Los Angeles, where she kicked off the show with a medley of hits.
Jackson began her AMA performance with the 1986 hit "Control." Other popular tunes included "Miss You Much" and "If."
The 43-year-old singer also sampled her new release "Make Me."
While she never directed commented on her late brother, Michael Jackson, the R&B star finished her performance with "Together Again" — in which she looked to the sky and sang, "Everywhere I go, every smile I see, I know you are there, smilin' back at me."
