HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Hugh Dancy and Krysten Ritter will join Isla Fisher in the Disney romantic comedy "Confessions of a Shopaholic."
The film, which is being produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, is based on the best-selling novels by Sophie Kinsella. The movie centers on a compulsive shopper (Fisher) in Manhattan up to her neck in debt who becomes a financial-advice columnist.
The 32-year-old Dancy will star as the editor of the financial magazine where Fisher works, while Ritter plays Fisher's best friend.
"Shopaholic" will be the third movie in which Dancy has worked with Bruckheimer. The duo also teamed up on "King Arthur" and "Black Hawk Down."
Ritter, can be seen in the upcoming film "27 Dresses," starring Katherine Heigl. The actress is currently shooting "What Happens in Vegas," which has required her to "make out" with costar Ashton Kutcher.
"He's cool. He's so cute. It's hard working with someone like that, especially when you have to make out with him," Ritter tells the New York Post's Page Six.
"I was worried about all of it. I didn't sleep the whole night before — I didn't sleep for weeks before!" she confessed.
Filming for "Confessions of a Shopaholic" is scheduled to begin next month in New York and Connecticut.
