HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Time has passed and tempers have been free to cool, but Hilary Duff is still fuming.
The 21-year-old star is still boiling over Faye Dunaway's comments regarding Duff being cast in the iconic role of Bonnie Parker for the indie film, "The Story of Bonnie and Clyde." When asked recently about the casting, Dunaway was less than flattering in saying, "Couldn't they at least cast a real actress?"
After hearing about Dunaway's stinging remark, Duff immediately shot back with a few of her own towards the Hollywood legend.
"I think that my fans that are going to go see the movie don't even know who she is," she told E! News of Dunaway, before adding another swipe, "I think it was a little unnecessary, but I might be mad if I looked like that now too."
If her appearance on Tuesday's "Bonnie Hunt Show" is any indication, Duff has yet to cool down.
"She started acting way later than I did so I think I have time to grow—and grow with each project," she told the host. "I am learning and work hard at my craft."
Hunt then tried to bring reason into the feud, telling Duff: "I think even Faye went through a time, if you look historically, where some people might have said that about her. She has great beauty, but she proved herself."
Duff then admitted that her comments may have been mean, but she apparently isn't ready to call a truce.
"It's not OK for people to take stabs at you and to say mean things for no reason," said Duff.
