HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Eva Mendes says she's enjoying life after spending several weeks earlier this year in rehab at Cirque Lodge.
"The sun's out again. It's my time," the 34-year-old actress told People magazine on Tuesday at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, where she was attending a luncheon.
Since her departure from the Utah treatment facility, the actress says she's been focusing on exercising and her family. Mendes says she's doing cardio and light weights four times a week with her trainer, Harley Pasternak, to keep herself fit.
Mendes, who will appear on screen later this year in "The Women," also says she's getting "a lot of love" from her longtime boyfriend, producer George Gargurevich.
"I'm actually taking advantage of my time off," Mendes tells People. "You know, I had a film that was pushed, so I'm home spending time with my family, going to the gym and actually enjoying taking care of myself."
"This year has been great for me because I've learned how to relax," she adds. "The last three years have been amazing but kind of crazy. So I don't know, I feel grounded. I feel really good."
