HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — New details have emerged on Anne Hathaway's split from Raffaello Follieri, including the star breaking up with the troubled Italian businessman over the phone.
According to Vanity Fair, the 25-year-old actress told Follieri, "You were the love of my life. I'll always love you. You know that, baby."
Hathaway ended the couple's four-year romance shortly before Follieri's arrest in June, in which he is accused of fraud and money laundering.
Vanity Fair also says the "Get Smart" star paid a whopping $37,000 monthly rent for the couple's luxurious New York City pad for four months prior to the breakup.
Hathaway appears to be bouncing back from the split. Last week, she was spotted getting cozy with actor Josh Lucas at the Democratic National Convention in Denver and she's previously spoken out about wanting to walk down the aisle in the future.
"I've always wanted a family," she told British newspaper The Independent last month. "I'm not one of those people who says 'What's the point of marriage?' (I'd like to) find someone you can be yourself around, who makes you laugh, who challenges you in a good way, and where you just speak off each other."
