HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Demi Lovato is riding on cloud nine, but this time it has nothing to do with her love life.
The 17-year-old Disney star will appear on sister network ABC's Grey's Anatomy, Lovato revealed Monday on Twitter.
"For all of you amazing patient people... I'm so thrilled to announce that this week I'm shooting Grey's Anatomy!!!!!!!! :D AHHH!!!!" she wrote.
Series creator Shonda Rimes also took to Twitter to express her own excitement at Lovato visiting Seattle's Grace Hospital.
"Demi Lovato's on the Grey's set filming her guest spot. Everyone's super excited around here," she tweeted.
Lovato will portray a schizophrenia patient being treated by Dr. Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) and Dr. Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw). Her episode will air in May.
Earlier this month, Lovato confirmed that she is now dating Joe Jonas. The lovers hit the red carpet together for the first time at Saturday's Kids' Choice Awards in Los Angeles.
