HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Demi Lovato is poised to follow in the footsteps of fellow Disney star Miley Cyrus by quitting Twitter.
In a message posted Friday, the 18-year-old star told her nearly 2.5 million followers that the micro-blogging site was too personal to her liking.
"I love my fans so much but the access that the other people have is uncomfortable to me," she wrote. "Twitterbreak. Peace."
Cyrus deleted her Twitter page last October, citing her relationship with then-boyfriend Liam Hemsworth as the reason to quit the service.
"FYI Liam doesn't have a Twitter and he wants ME to delete mine with good reason," she tweeted in her farewell.
