HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Reese Witherspoon could be getting closer to having another rock on her finger.
Jim Toth, who has been dating the actress for almost eight months, has allegedly been spotted in several Hollywood stores looking for the perfect ring to propose with.
"Reese wasn't with him, because he wants it to be a surprise," a friend of Toth's tells InTouch Weekly. "But he knows her style. The ring will be classic and beautiful, just like Reese herself."
The pal went on to add that Witherspoon, who has two children, Ava, 10, and Deacon, 6, with former husband Ryan Phillippe, is more serious about Roth than she was about Brokeback Mountain star Jake Gyllenhaal, whom she dated for two years prior to embarking on a romance with the Hollywood agent.
"She never considered marrying Jake," the insider said. "She loved him, but wasn't passionate about him. Jim is her ultimate guy."
However, a friend of Witherspoon's recently said the star is not ready to fully commit to the relationship until she is sure things will last.
"Reese got married too young the first time, and she never wants to go through another divorce again," the insider said of Witherspoon, whose marriage to Phillippe ended after seven years together. "She wants to take things very slowly."
