HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Christian Bale was apologetic on Friday, mere days after a tape of the actor's F-bomb filled tirade on a movie set went public.
Appearing on Los Angeles radio station KROQ-FM, the 35-year-old star expressed remorse over the incident, which took place last summer while he was shooting the film, "Terminator Salvation."
"I was way out of order," Bale told "The Kevin & Bean Show." "I acted like a punk. I regret that. And there is nobody that has heard that tape that is hit harder by it then me."
"I make no excuses for it, it is inexcusable," he added. "And I hope that that is absolutely clear."
Bale dropped the F-bomb more than 30 times during his nearly 4-minute long verbal attack against "Terminator Salvation" director of photography Shane Hurlbut, who reportedly entered Bale's sight-line by accident during filming.
When asked if the public outcry against him was fair, Bale said: "I deserve it completely." But the "Dark Knight" star pleaded for everyone's forgiveness, admitting that "it's been a miserable week for me."
"The thing that disturbs me so much is that I've heard a lot of people saying that I seem to think I'm better than anybody else," said Bale. "Nothing could be farther from the truth. I'm a luck ... I don't want to swear ... I'm a lucky SOB. I never forget that and that is why I put so much into what I do."
