HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Carrie Underwood admits her marriage is far from normal thanks to her busy country career and husband Mike Fisher's hectic hockey schedule.
"It's not like we have office jobs where you can transfer!" the 27-year-old singer tells People Country in its November issue. "It's not a conventional marriage."
For now, the two are content to shuttle between their Nashville and Ottawa homes, although Underwood admits she prefers to avoid Canada when it's cold.
"I can't do my cute heels in the winter!" she says.
Still, Underwood is about to complain about married life since the couple's July wedding.
"Mike's the missing piece to my puzzle – he's a few pieces," she says of the Ottawa Senators star. "He makes me a better person."
