HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Britney Spears is giving her fans an early holiday gift.
The singer will be releasing her new album, entitled "Circus," on Dec. 2, her label, Jive Records, announced Monday. The day also marks Spears' 27th birthday.
The first single, "Womanizer," is set to drop on Sept. 22. The track is produced by The Outsyders, an up-and-coming Atlanta production team.
Other contributors to the pop star's sixth studio release include Dr. Luke, Danja, Max Martin, Bloodshy & Avant and Guy Sigsworth.
The news comes on the heels of Spears winning the first three MTV Video Music Awards of her career earlier this month, thanks to her critically-acclaimed 2007 album "Blackout."
