HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — After spending four seasons as one of the "Girls Next Door," Bridget Marquardt is looking forward to a change of pace on her new Travel Channel show.
"I was very happy with 'The Girls Next Door' and my life there, but this is propelling me on my own and is what I went to school for and what I love," the 35-year-old broadcast major told reporters at Wednesday's Travel Channel Television Critics Association event. "I've kind of got the best of both worlds now."
On "Bridget's Sexiest Beaches," which debuts March 12, Marquardt's travels will include visits to Fiji, Croatia, Jamaica, Mexico, Costa Rica, California, Thailand and Hawaii. When asked to reflect on her days with the "Girls," Marquardt admits it wasn't always rosy living amongst a crowd.
"We got along relatively well for three girls living in the same house and shooting a TV show together and doing everything together," she explained. "But there was always moments where [it was], 'Oh, Kendra is late again.'
"You know, rolling the eyes, the irritation. There was definitely some of that."
The buxom beauty was the last of the threesome to move out of the Playboy Mansion. She finished packing her bags last week, while Holly Madison and Kendra Wilkinson moved out in October. The transition has made their relationship all the more stronger.
"We are closer than ever and even more supportive of each other," said Marquardt.
