HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Barbra Streisand can appreciate imitation being the sincerest form of flattery.
The Funny Girl star took to her website Thursday to praise actress Jennifer Aniston, who transformed herself into Streisand for a pictorial appearing in the September issue of Harper's Bazaar.
"I was very flattered that Jennifer Aniston chose to interpret my style with the photos in Harper's Bazaar," writes Streisand. "She's a delightful person, and I think she did a wonderful job.
So does the Oscar- and Grammy-winning diva have any issues with the shoot? "If only she had a bump on her nose," quips Streisand.
Aniston met her childhood idol at a New Year's party a few years ago and the two went on to become friends.
"Barbra inspires me because there isn't anything she hasn't done that she wanted to do, especially as a female in the time when her generation was prime," the former Friends star tells Harper's Bazaar. "She's a true renaissance woman."
