HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is back on the job.
The 25-year-old actress will make her Broadway debut as she reprises the role of Roxie Hart in the Tony Award-winning musical Chicago, the production announced Monday.
Simpson-Wentz will begin performances at Broadway's Ambassador Theatre on Nov. 30. She will play a limited engagement as the merry murderess through Feb. 7, 2010.
She first took on the role in 2006 with her London stage debut.
"I'm honored to be reprising my role as Roxie Hart, returning to the stage and joining this amazing cast," she said in a statement. "Being on Broadway is a childhood dream come true."
The Broadway gigs comes after Simpson-Wentz was dropped from Melrose Place last month.
