HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Anne Heche has given birth to a baby boy, her rep confirmed Wednesday to People.
The 39-year-old actress and her boyfriend, actor James Tupper, welcomed son Atlas Heche Tupper over the weekend. Their new arrival weighed in at 6 lbs., 12 oz., the magazine says.
"They are ecstatic," her rep told the mag of the proud parents.
The baby is the first for Heche and Tupper, who first crossed paths on the set of "Men in Trees." Heche was still married to her ex-husband, Coley Laffoon, when she met the 43-year-old Tupper on the short-lived ABC series in 2006.
Heche and Laffroon, who split in early 2007 after six years of marriage, have a 7-year-old son together named Homer. After two years of legal proceedings, the couple finalized their divorce on Wednesday.
The actress, who was also previously involved in a high-profile romance with Ellen DeGeneres, has admitted that she wasn't looking for love when sparks began to fly with Tupper.
"A lot of love struck [on set]," she previously told Access Hollywood's Billy Bush. "I don't think I was expecting [it]. I've found friendships with people here and I certainly found a friendship with James. Out of our understanding that we want to live life the same way, have the same point of view on life, we just were lucky enough to fall in love."
