HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Alec Baldwin says one of his future roles just might find him alongside the likes of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
"There's other things I want to do (besides acting)," the "30 Rock" star says in an interview airing Sunday on CBS' "60 Minutes."
"There's no age limit on running for office, to a degree," adds Baldwin, who turned 50 on April 3. "(It is) something I might do one day."
The longtime "Saturday Night Live" favorite says he is well versed in handling the press and public scrutiny, pointing to his bitter custody battle with ex-wife Kim Basinger. Last April, Baldwin faced his biggest scrutiny after he called his 12-year-old daughter Ireland a "thoughtless little pig" on a voice mail, which later surfaced on the Web and became a hot tabloid topic.
"You can pretty much bet all you own that I would never leave another voicemail message for my daughter that wasn't just like something out of a Rodgers and Hammerstein score," he says.
