HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — The Jonas Brothers are headed for the big screen and they hope to avoid a stinker.
The teen pop stars have been lined up to make their feature film debut in "Walter the Farting Dog," according to Variety.
The trio — Nick, Joe and Kevin — will be joined by younger brother Frankie in the Fox film, which is scheduled to begin shooting next spring.
"Walter," which revolves around a fat dog with severe flatulence, is based on the bestselling book series by William Kotzwinkle and Glenn Murray.
The brothers won't have to stray far in the film as their characters will be a group of musicians whose family takes in the dog from an aunt shortly before she passes away, the trade publication says.
The movie may be a possible directing project for Peter and Bobby Farrelly.
"By the time they've driven the dog home, everybody's head is out the window of the family station wagon but Frankie, and only because he has a serious sinus problem and doesn't notice the stench coming from Walter," Peter Farrelly said of the movie to Variety.
Nick, Joe and Kevin already have one movie hit under their belts, having starred in the Disney television film "Camp Rock."
