HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Nadin Khoury, the Pennsylvania boy who was brutally bullied by a pack of teenage boys last month, got a special surprise Thursday when he appeared on ABC's The View.
Khoury, 13, was walking home from school on Jan. 11 when he was randomly beaten up, dragged through the streets, put in a tree, and then hung by his coat on a tall metal fence by seven classmates. The incident was captured on video by one of the assailants, which propelled the story into the national spotlight.
"I watched the tape, and I just broke down. ... It's just something that no parent wants to see," the boy's mother, Rebecca Wright, recalled on the morning show.
After discussing how the incident had affected him, Khoury was shocked when the ladies of The View brought out his favorite NFL player, Philadelphia Eagles star DeSean Jackson, who was accompanied by teammates Todd Herremans and Jamaal Jackson.
"Anytime ever you need us, I've got two linemen right here ... my boys are ready to come down," said the wide receiver, who gave Khoury an Eagles jersey and offered him tickets to any game next season.
