HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Only time will tell, but this time a wedding actually appears to be in the works.
According to People, Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen became engaged on Friday, a month after their family denied similar media reports.
"He asked and she accepted," a source close to the pair told the mag.
"The couple is discussing a huge fashionista event in the spring or a more intimate and quicker ceremony in Costa Rica, where Gisele has a home," added the source.
TMZ reported in December that the football star had proposed to his model girlfriend while flying with her parents on a private jet from New Jersey to Boston. The plane was reportedly packed with champagne and four-dozen white roses to celebrate the occasion, but the football star's father quickly denied the report.
"(The engagement story is) rumor, rumor, rumor. ... We don't know a thing about it. Nobody told me. We talked to him and there's nothing to say," Tom Brady Sr. told The Boston Globe.
Brady, 31, and Bündchen, 28, have been dating since the New England Patriots quarterback split with actress Bridget Moynahan, with whom he has a 16-month-old son, in 2006.
It would be the first marriage for both stars.
