LONDON – A lawyer for Sienna Miller says the actress has not dropped her lawsuit against a tabloid accused of hacking her phone, despite the paper's apology and offer of compensation.
Miller's lawyer, Mark Thomson, says the actress is suing the News of the World for "outrageous violations of privacy."
On Friday the newspaper acknowledged eavesdropping on the voicemails of public figures. It said it would pay compensation for "justifiable claims."
Thomson said Saturday that the actress was awaiting more information from the newspaper, which she accuses of repeatedly accessing her voicemails over the course of a year.
For years the paper maintained the hacking was confined to two rogue employees who were jailed in 2007.
