PITTSBURGH — Is Ben Roethlisberger engaged?
The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback reportedly popped the question to girlfriend Ashley Harlan over the holidays. However, Roethlisberger played coy when asked about the engagement rumors at practice Tuesday.
"Listen, there's always rumors out there about professional athletes, especially about me," Roethlisberger told reporters. "You guys know that I am not going to talk about my personal life. I don't do that. My one singular focus right now is on the playoffs, on football and trying to get to the Super Bowl."
Harlan is said to be a former softball star who graduated from St. Francis University in 2008.
Roethlisberger was suspended for the first four games of the season for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy. He was accused of sexually assaulting a college woman at a Georgia nightclub in March, but no charges were ever filed against him in the case.
The two-time Super Bowl champion was also accused of raping a woman at a Lake Tahoe hotel in 2008.
