LOS ANGELES – LeAnn Rimes admits the beginning of her relationship with husband Eddie Cibrian could have "been handled a lot better".
The couple - who wed earlier this year - met on the set of TV movie 'Northern Lights' in 2008 while they were both married to other people and the singer accepts they made some wrong decisions.
Speaking on the 'Ellen DeGeneres Show', LeAnn said: "We made decisions that were not necessarily the right ones, but it obviously brought us to the place where we are now. And, we're happy and we're married.
"It happens. I will always say, it could've been handled a lot better but maybe we both didn't have the tools at the time to do it properly."
However, LeAnn says she and Eddie - has two children, Mason, seven, and Jake, three with his ex-wife, make-up artist-and-model Brandi Glanville - don't let the controversy surrounding their relationship get to them.
The 'Can't Fight the Moonlight' hitmaker - who was married to Dean Sheremet - said: "I let it go and laugh at it at the end of the day."
