John Mellencamp, Wife Elaine Irwin Split After 18 Years of Marriage

John Mellencamp, Elaine Irwin Mellencamp, split, divorce, pictures, picture, photos, photo, pics, pic, images, image, hot, sexy, latest, new, 2010HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — It's over for John Mellencamp and wife Elaine Irwin Mellencamp.

The twosome has decided to split after 18 years of marriage, their rep tells The Hollywood Reporter.

"John and Elaine Mellencamp are proud of their 20 years together and are very happy with their accomplishments both as parents and as a family," said the rep in a statement. "They will continue to raise their two children in Indiana but have decided to call it a day as a couple."

No other details about their divorce plans were revealed.

Mellencamp met the former supermodel when she posed for the cover of his 1991 album Whenever We Wanted.
