NEW YORK — Pump your fists! The cast of Jersey Shore is heading to Italy for season 4, MTV announced Tuesday.
"While the stateside Jersey Shore locales have become iconic for our audience it's really the constantly evolving dynamic amongst the cast that keeps them coming back each season, and Europe is a fresh spin on a show that continues to reach new heights for us," said Chris Linn, Executive Vice President of Programming and Head of Production for MTV. "The cast is headed to the birthplace of the culture they love and live by. We can't wait to see what erupts as a result."
The Italy season will begin production in the spring and air later this year, MTV said.
Some members of the show's cast – Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, Paul "DJ Pauly D" Delvecchio, Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Vinny Guadagnino – are already rejoicing at the Europe locale.
"Just heard the most amazing news! WOHOOO!" Snooki wrote on Twitter with a link to the announcement.
"Ohh I Love Italy This Time A Yeahhh," added Pauly D.
