It's Official: Nikki Reed and Paul McDonald Are Dating

Nikki Reed, Paul McDonald, dating, couple, together, pictures, picture, photos, photo, pics, pic, images, image, hot, sexy, latest, new, 2011LOS ANGELES – It's official: Nikki Reed and Paul McDonald are indeed dating!

The singer confirmed the couple's relationship for the first time while meeting with the press Friday, a day after being eliminated from "American Idol."

"Yes, me and Nikki Reed are dating. It's officially true," McDonald told reporters. "She's super-cool, she’s super-smart and a really cool girl. We've been hanging out here and there, we're both pretty busy, but it's been fun so far."

The twosome has been subject to dating rumors for weeks, with Reed being spotted backstage at the Fox talent competition.

So how did the pair meet? McDonald said the "Twilight" star approached him at the "Red Riding Hood" premiere last month. After she walked away, he admittedly wondered, "Was she a famous actress or something?"

Reed has already proven to be a great support system for her new man.

"She is actually pumped," McDonald said of her reaction to his elimination. "She said, 'Dude, you finally get to do your thing and be yourself and be the artist you are.' She is happy about the whole situation. She has been nothing but cool to me."
