NEW YORK — Howard Stern went on the Late Show with David Letterman Thursday night, where he proceeded to bash Jay Leno.
"Jay is horrible, right?" Stern asked Letterman, drawing cheers from the audience.
The shock jock then proceeded to criticize Letterman for doing last year's famous Super Bowl ad with Leno and Oprah Winfrey.
"We had the guy down on the ground... you had your foot on his neck," said Stern.
"It seemed like a good idea at the time," replied Letterman.
Stern then brought up neighbor Regis Philbin's sudden departure from Live! With Regis & Kelly, telling the late-night host he's on his side.
"I'm in your corner, I'm rooting for you," he told Letterman. "Listen, I don't want the same thing happening to you that happened to Regis."
