HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Bradley Cooper is mourning the loss of his father, Charles, who made a cameo appearance in The A-Team movie last year.
Charles Cooper, a former Merrill Lynch stockbroker, passed away on Jan. 15 after a long illness. In addition to Bradley, he is survived by his wife Gloria, daughter Holly, and sister Nancy Peacock.
The actor previously joked about getting his father a bit role alongside him in the big-screen adaption of the popular '80s television series.
"It was one of the best experiences of my life. The guy loves to improvise — I had to calm him down!" Bradley said on the Late Show with David Letterman. "He wanted to improvise with Jessica Biel. He was supposed to stay in his seat, but he got up and the camera had to start moving. He wanted to have a conversation with Jessica!"
Funeral services for Cooper's father are being kept private.
